New Hampshire Lodging and Restaurant Association Education Foundation
PURPOSE:
The New Hampshire Lodging & Restaurant Association Education Foundation (NHLRAEF) awards scholarships to New Hampshire students looking to further their culinary and hospitality education at a post-secondary level. These scholarships are designed to assist students who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to the restaurant/foodservice and hospitality industry. 

SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNTS AVAILABLE:
5- $1,000 scholarships sponsored by the FEEDNH.org Future of Hospitality Scholarship. This scholarship is open to all NH students. Thank you to FEEDNH.org who created this scholarship in March 2021 to support the future generation of the hospitality industry. 
5- $1,500 scholarships sponsored by the New Hampshire Lodging & Restaurant Association Education Foundation. This scholarship is open to NH ProStart students only.
*Please note, one scholarship per student will be awarded.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Applicants must be current or former New Hampshire students who are currently attending or have been admitted to a post-secondary school where they will major in foodservice, culinary arts, hospitality management, or a related field. Preferential status will be given to students who have completed a national certification.

APPLICATION PACKAGE:
The completed and signed application with transcripts and references must be mailed and postmarked by April 30, 2021. No late applications will be accepted. Completed application must be mailed to the address on last page of the application.

Hospitality Education Scholarships: 2021 – 2022 
New England Inns & Resorts Association is now accepting applications for their 2021-22 Hospitality Education Scholarships.  The Scholarships are open to any New England student (any age) pursuing a career or enhancing their current career in the lodging, culinary or hospitality field. The application deadline is May 1, 2021.

SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE:
Two (2) $3,500 Scholarships – Rolf T. Hammer Hospitality Scholarship
One (1) $3,500 Scholarship – NEIRA Lavin Family Scholarship
Two (2) $325 eCornell Scholarships – *For employees of NEIRA member properties

Eligibility
Open to any New England student (any age) pursuing a career in the lodging or hospitality field. Applicants may be graduates of accredited high schools, high school students or post secondary students.
Use of Scholarships
Scholarships are provided for one time use only. No continued scholarship support for the student is stated or implied. Applications should be submitted by the student annually, if appropriate. Scholarships may be used for tuition and/or room & board and will be issued jointly to the institution and the student.
Selection Criteria for Rolf T. Hammer & Lavin Family Scholarship

• Scholastic record
• Employment record and extra-curricular activities
• Desire for a career in the hotel or hospitality industry
• Associated with a member of New England Inns and Resorts (Not  a requirement to apply for the scholarship)

May 1, 2021
*All applicants will be notified by June 30, 2021 of the committee’s decision

eCornell Scholarship – NEIRA Members Only
Eligibility
Open to any NEIRA member for enrollment in an eCornell course or certificate program.  The scholarship will cover one course at the NEIRA member rate of $325.
Selection Criteria (NEIRA Members Only)

• Completed Application
• Employer Recommendation
• Place of employment must be a member of New England Inns and Resorts

Deadline for Submission
May 1, 2021
*All applicants will be notified by June 30, 2021 of the committee’s decision.

​AHLA Foundation Academic Scholarships 
​*This scholarship is closed for 2021.
Applications are due by February 15th.

• Financial Need
• Academics
• Extracurricular Activities
